Shish Tawook - Skewered grilled chicken/romanesco
Shish tawook literally means skewered chicken. It is an almost ancient dish from the Ottoman empire that has survived and adopted by various regions in the Middle East. The Lebanese version marinates the chicken in yogurt and pastes to create a succulent flavor. It is served with fried potatoes, yogurt salad, and pita bread.
